One of my recent projects was to develop the Stream Temperature Model
as one of the Hydrologic Hazard Models for the B.C. Ministry of Environment.
The model was developed to compute shortwave and longwave radiation,
and latent and sensible heat for stream channels and lakes during a
particular cloudless summer day in the Redfish Creek watershed near
Kootenay Lake, British Columbia. The objective of the research is to
assess hazard as changes to stream temperature impacted by forestry
activities and the consequential risk to fish species and temperature
influenced resource values.
